our journey in creating positive change through ABA is taking a step forward as we announce our expansion to raleigh-durham.

Family Support Services provide you with coaching, connection and critical education for family members and caretakers to assist them in  obtaining the best possible care for their child.

Whether you have a diagnosis or not, we will provide you with a road map to resources and the best course of action based on the specific diagnosis and needs of your child. We're here to provide information, care coordination, and direct assistance to all families.

we understand that parents are a child’s first, and most important, teachers. Family members and trusted caregivers play a vital role in supporting people with autism and family members need support, too.

We provide services to help you and your family get connected, receive coaching and obtain critical education. Our services include:

  • Autism Orientation (resources for children, teens, & adults)
  • Milestones (for families of children 18mos - 3yrs)
  • Jumpstart (for families of children 4yrs - 8yrs)
  • Parent Training (coaching & parent education)
  • Second Gear (coaching to manage behavior at home)
  • Sib-shops (connection for school-aged siblings)
  • Grandparent Support Group (support group for grandparents)
  • IEP Clinic (resources for parents in education)

All services promote the use of evidence-based interventions and strategies for individuals with ASD.

Our Family Support team offers programs to meet the needs of parents, grandparents, siblings, and caregivers.

Understanding these challenges, Applied Behavior Associates developed our Family Support services to help families navigate the delivery system, providing meaningful consultation and valuable resources for families.

Through our Family Support program, you can help ease the “caregiver burden” often experienced by those who care for a loved one with ASD. Our program provides an effective solution for you to address the special challenges parents face. Most importantly, we help parents, caregivers, and other family members become stronger advocates on the child’s behalf.

An autism diagnosis can be overwhelming for families. Parents are often unsure of the next steps to take and can spend countless hours researching and interviewing service providers, and trying to understand the diagnosis, and treatment options.

"I can't get over the Family Support Program at Applied Behavior Associates. Being new to the area, I was unable to find a support group. I had look up a few online but when I went to a meeting, the building was closed. I'm glad to have found Applied Behavior Associates. They have really made the difference for my family."
