our journey in creating positive change through ABA is taking a step forward as we announce our expansion to raleigh-durham.

In our assent-based Adaptive Behavior Program, we start with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meeting with you and your family to understand your needs and preferences.

This includes a Behavior Identification Assessment to identify specific behaviors and their functions, which is crucial for developing targeted and effective intervention strategies.
Following this assessment, you'll  collaborate with your BCBA to develop and review a Treatment Plan. This ensures that the plan reflects your goals and is tailored to your unique needs.
Once the plan is in place, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will begin working with your family. They will observe and record behavioral data, which will assist the BCBA in refining and adjusting the program to ensure it effectively addresses the identified behaviors and meets your objectives.

OUR assent-based adaptive BEHAVIOR PROGRAM has been designed WITH RESPECT TO OUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THERE IS NO "ONE-SIZE FITS ALL" TREATMENT PROGRAM.

Treatment can differ in intensity, duration, complexity, and scope, as well as in the level of direct intervention provided. The choice of treatment model depends on various factors, including the number, complexity, and intensity of behavioral targets, as well as the client's response to treatment. Additionally, treatment plans are adapted over time based on ongoing assessments and feedback. Generally, these differences fall into one of two treatment models:

Focused: Tailored to address specific behavioral issues or goals.
Comprehensive: Designed to address a broader range of needs.

ABA treatment programs incorporate findings from hundreds of applied studies focused on understanding and treating ASD published in peer-reviewed journals over 50 years.

Consistency is essential in achieving these goals, so we will collaborate with your family to develop a personalized treatment plan that can be implemented across all areas of your child's life. We will also monitor your child's progress to ensure every target is being met.

We will typically recommend a minimum of 10-25 hours per week of Focused ABA for a minimum of 6 months.

With Focused ABA, we work with your child to target a specific set of goals using fun, playful activities.

With Comprehensive ABA, our primary objective is to close the skill gap between your child and his or her peers.

This objective may involve addressing various developmental skills, including cognition, communication, social interactions, play, and self-help, among others. We will set specific learning targets for each area and integrate them into a unique, comprehensive plan to help your child make progress.

We usually recommend 25-40 hours per week of Comprehensive ABA for a minimum of 2 years.

"Applied Behavior Associates does a great job with keeping the parents informed. This is my first experience in ABA that I've actually been involved in the process. Unfortunately, I never knew how necessary that was until now. Thank you Applied Behavior Associates for changing the ABA experience  for our family."
